Bratislava and Budapest.

I haven't had time to post for a while, so I'll just post some pics with some comments.

On the long weekend between May 1st to May 4th, I went to Bratislava, Slovakia, and Budapest, Hungary. Since the train would have taken 10 hours from Dresden to Budapest, we decided to drive.

Here are pictures from Bratislava.

A panorama from the top of the castle.

Apparently, Bratislava has the largest number of communist apartment buildings in Europe. It's quite an eye-sore.

The next day, we drove to Budapest, which was only about 1 hour away.

The view from our hotel room.

We went to a restaurant for dinner, and it was a medieval style restaurant.

A group of British men, a stag party, joined us in the room, and had a stripper dance for the groom-to-be.

We took a bus tour, which had tours in many different languages.

People dressed up in Star Wars costumes? No idea why.

The underground metro trains are really old. You can tell they are from the communist times from the plaque with Cyrillic writing. Probably Russian.

Us having fun at the night club.

On our last day, we drove up to the hill to get a great view of Budapest.
